Valerie Fawley

Valerie Fawley works as the Integrated Curriculum Lead for CodeVA, where she works to help teachers integrate computer science into their core subjects. She has worked with CodeVA since 2019 as a facilitator and curriculum writer. Her Bachelor’s degree is from Bridgewater College, with Masters’ Degrees from Eastern Mennonite University in Educational Technology and Liberty University in Curriculum and Instruction. Valerie previously worked as an Instructional Technology Resource Coach and second-grade teacher in Shenandoah County Public Schools, where she started the county’s first coding club and began integrating computer science into classrooms in 2013.
