Cori Sowers

Hi! My name is Cori Sowers and I am an Instructional Technology Resource Teacher and K-5 Computer Science Teacher for Danville Public Schools in Danville, Virginia. For seven years, I taught computer technology to grades 6-8, been an ITRT since 2012, taught K-5 Computer Science since 2022, and have been with CodeVA since 2019.

She is the SVRTC (Southern Virginia Regional Technology Consortium) Co-Chair, GoGuardian Certified Educator, CS Ready School Lead, Promethean Master Educator, Epic! Certified Teacher, IXL Live Certified, Nearpod Certified Educator, and holds a Postgraduate Professional License in Business Education (VA) and Postgraduate Professional License in Computer Technology (VA).

Received the SVRTC Instructional Technology Support Award for 2014-2015, 2017-2020, and 2022
