Computer Science Foundations introduces educators to the Exploring Computer Science (ECS) curriculum. ECS is a full-year introductory computer science course that prepares high school students for future study in a variety of computer science domains, including cybersecurity, web design, and networking. ECS is funded by the National Science Foundation.
In this course, participants will explore the Exploring Computer Science (ECS) curriculum, practice pedagogical techniques and activities from the course, and discuss implementation details for their classrooms and schools. Participants will engage in hands-on practice with a variety of course projects and collaborate with other educators to create a plan for integrating the ECS curriculum in their classroom.
Grade 8 -12 computer science classroom teachers interested in teaching the ECS curriculum
Beginner - Participating educators are not expected to have knowledge or experience teaching the Exploring Computer Science curriculum.
